Filtration first, flavour to follow
AQUAREX's Jesper Weller had the pleasure of talking to the Supply Chain and Sustainability magazine (IMPA's official publication) - in their recent issue to discuss AQUAREX’s juice dispensers. The next steps in onboard filtration systems.
'If you are coming along with socks, isn’t the next step to add shoes? Jesper Bak Weller has answered his own question with the creation of the JC100 juice solution.'
'The JC100 juice solution, developed in partnership with a European engineering company, connects to the drinking water source on board and to a power source. Bag-in-a-box concentrate is dropped into the dispenser ready to be mixed with water on demand for dispensing to the consumer.'
'There are key advantages to the solution and the way it works, says Jesper. “What makes it unique is that compared to other juice dispensers, there are no moving parts inside. Usually, if you open a dispenser, you will encounter pumps, valves, electronics, tubes and mechanical components. The JC100 is a simple vacuum unit that uses the pressure of the drinking water supplied to the system to create the vacuum that draws out the concentrate from the bag and mixes it with the water. From the engineering point of view, it’s the best you can get; it is ultra reliable because it is so simple. Moreover, there is no waste of concentrate, as the vacuum system empties the bags completely.'
