Welcome to the OceanHeroes Community!
Seafarers are the heart and soul of the Shipping Industry – by working with global partners, we are developing a project to celebrate them, educate them and learn from them in relatable and meaningful ways.
In this presentation, you will learn more about Ocean Heroes, meet our mascots, and explore the
initial ways in which we will communicate with seafarers worldwide through this initiative that
aims to champion the heroes that are working hard every day, at our oceans.
What is the OceanHeroes project?
OceanHeroes was created by AQUAREX and partners, including ex-seafarers and professionals in the industry, with the mission statement to develop and nurture a community for our seafarers, delivered by on vessel materials (such as posters, documents and other materials) and with an online platform where all are welcomed to communicate, share and learn together. Not only is the Ocean Heroes project here to help seafarers learn and communicate, but also to engage and advise in their own way, imparting knowledge and sharing updates with family and friends onshore.
Online Community for Seafarers and their families
Facilitated by social media platforms, we are curating an online community for knowledge sharing and support of the crews at sea.
A safe space for communication and learning, the Ocean Heroes online community will feature regular updates and opportunities for networking among seafarers and their families.
The online community will share:

• Anonymous and safe support
• Dialogue amongst members
• Engaging content, such as music playlists and Ocean Hero spotlights
