How does it work?

  • Source water flows directly from vessels F.W. distribution system, or a water purifier system, into the AQUAREX beverage system. Inside, this water is blended with juice or cocktail concentrate to create flavorful drinks. The beverage system accommodates up to three different concentrate bag-in-box units simultaneously.

A unique patented venturi vacuum system precisely draws the concentrate and mixes it with water at a ratio pre-set by the beverage manager or user. This innovative vacuum technology ensures the concentrate bags are completely emptied, eliminating any waste of concentrate.

Replacing concentrate bag-in-boxes is quick and effortless. Even partially used bags can be swapped out to introduce a different concentrate, and any partially emptied concentrate bags-in-boxes can be reinstalled later, offering maximum flexibility and convenience.

  • The patented Venturi technology guarantees a seamless beverage system operation without any moving parts in the mixing and dispensing process. Unlike traditional systems that rely on pumps and electromechanical valves, this design eliminates those components entirely.

The mixing and dispensing unit can be effortlessly removed for manual cleaning or placed in the dishwasher. Additionally, the reusable connectors that link the concentrate bags-in-boxes are simple to detach and clean.

This advanced technology not only ensures the highest standards of hygiene but also delivers a reliable, fail-safe system with minimal downtime and maintenance.

How is it installed?

  • The AQUAREX JC100 beverage system is easy to install, requiring only access to a freshwater outlet and a standard electrical supply (110/240VAC). No drain connection is necessary.

It seamlessly integrates with the AQUAREX C/T100 water purifier using flexible plastic tubing, with all necessary connection components included in the package—eliminating the need for additional local purchases.

This beverage system is compatible with any water purifier system, provided that water quality, flow, and pressure meet the required standards.

For locations without a fixed water distribution system, we offer we offer an optional solution featuring two 25-liter water tanks equipped with a booster pump.

  • The JC100 beverage system can also be installed without a decentralized water purifier system, as long as the feedwater supplied is of high quality, maintains the proper flow and pressure, and is completely free of impurities.

What about source water (feedwater)?

  • The water purifier system, which supplies the beverage system, can draw its source water from the vessel’s or site’s fresh water F.W. tank through the fixed F.W. distribution network.

The source water stored in the F.W. tank may be produced onboard or onsite, using the vessel’s or site’s desalination system, or it can be bunkered municipality produced water.

All vessels and sites are required to comply with international regulations governing the production of fresh water for domestic use and frequently test the water, according to WHO drinking water standards.

  • Bunkered or produced water exclusively for technical use without certificate or test, cannot be used as source water for the water purifier system and/or the beverage system.

What about concentrate-bag-in boxes?

  • All our concentrates come in a convenient, standardized, and easy-to-handle bag-in-box format.

The beverage system can accommodate up to three different bag-in-box concentrates simultaneously—whether that's three varieties of juice, three types of cocktail concentrates, or any combination of both—offering maximum flexibility to suit your vessel or site needs.

When it's time to replace a concentrate bag—either because it's empty or you want to switch flavors—simply disconnect the installed bag by pulling out the vacuum unit. Remove the bag from the system and store it in a cool, dry place (refrigeration is not necessary). Insert the new bag, push the vacuum unit back in, and notify the system that a new concentrate bag has been installed. It's really that easy!

  • The concentrate bag-in-boxes hold enough concentrate to produce 30-60 liters of ready-to-drink juice or cocktails.

The replacement frequency depends on the type of juice, the preferred concentrate-to-water ratio, and the predetermined serving size (e.g., 200 ml). We collaborate closely with our clients to develop a precisely calculated supply schedule and determine the exact juice or cocktail mix required for periods such as six months, around-the-world trips, or any other timeframe.

Where is it installed?

  • Installation in guest and passenger self-service areas, both onshore and offshore, works very well. The beverage system can of curse also be easily operated by the crew, in a more restricted area onboard/onsite.

The beverage system features secure locking mechanisms that restrict or permit adjustments as needed. For example, the water-to-concentrate ratio can be locked to maintain consistency, while the beverage size remains customizable.

The intuitive, tablet-style user interface can be easily tailored to match any operational profile, ensuring an optimal self-service experience while protecting critical settings.

Any unauthorized opening of the beverage system to access the mechanics and the concentrate bag-in-boxes is efficiently prevented by a digital lock, that only can be operated by authorized personnel.

  • Typically, vessels or sites with fewer than 25 crew members install a single beverage system in the galley or mess room. This enables the crew to conveniently serve themselves whenever needed and permitted.

For larger vessels or sites, the general guideline is to provide one beverage unit for every 25 to 50 crew members, depending on factors such as shift patterns and the desired level of service.

What if urgent service is needed?

  • We take great pride in confidently stating that onboard or onsite technicians can easily resolve any issues with the AQUAREX JC100 beverage system.

This beverage system is no more complicated than standard kitchen appliances. Why is that? Because it is crafted with "German quality design and engineering," specifically designed to perform reliably under all conditions.

If any doubts remain, our team is available 24/7 to provide remote support and collaborate directly with onsite staff to ensure your beverage system is always up and running.

  • The newest version of AQUAREX JC!00 can be made online via the vessels or sites satellite system, to remotely control settings and monitor the operations.

This can be useful in trouble shooting and whenever someone wish to centrally manage one or more beverage systems from a central point.

Has it been tested and certified?

  • Any beverage system must be assembled from components that are certified for use in food and beverage processing. Further, it must meet certain electrical standards.

AQUAREX beverage systems goes far beyond these standard requirements by using state-of-art hygiene concepts, by using easy-to-clean components, by following strict disinfection procedures in the manufacturing process and by tracking all our beverage systems by serial number.

Moreover, AQUAREX beverage systems are also designed to monitor crucial parameters to assist the crew in the maintenance and warn about abnormalities.

Access to the system interiors and change of settings is restricted and can only be done by authorized personnel onboard / onsite.

  • Juice and cocktail concentrate is crafted in Europe and follow all the high European standards for food and beverage safety, production and distribution.

  • The most effective approach to testing and certifying feedwater is to collaborate with an accredited laboratory for regular, comprehensive analyses. Ensuring that the feedwater meets WHO quality standards for drinking water is essential for safety and compliance.

How is the water tested?

  • The feedwater to the beverage system can be tested onboard / onsite on a weekly basis, by means of a simple drinking water test kit.

Such test kit for use onboard can for example determine the pH value, the TDS and bacteria colonies. Its pretty accurate and help to keep the everyone assured that all is OK.

  • The best way to test and certify the feedwater is to engage with an accredited laboratory make frequent water analysis of the feedwater.
